Well, this seems kind of pathetic, and I'm not sure this is the right place... but here goes. After 7 + years of no mountain biking... and pretty much no physical activity what so ever, partially due to a severe injury but mostly due laziness, I have started up again.

After a couple weeks of road riding, one nice slow and gentle ride at Lebanon, and the Memorial race this last sunday, two things have become quite obvious.
1. I am in painfully poor physical condition
2. Road riding isn't going to be enough to get me race ready, 7+ years of no riding has severely degraded my ability to navigate technical trails. (Apparently the old saying "Its just like riding a bike" does not always apply, or ...... perhaps I'm special.) :banghead:

Anyway, what I am hoping for is to find a person(s) to ride and train with one or two days a week on some of the local trails (not Tues, Wed, or Thursday) who is either in a similar situation as myself, or is exceedingly patient. I would prefer the former, simply because making or having people wait on my slow ass makes me feel horrible. However, either way would be fantastic and I would be truly happy to make some new friends.

Please feel free to respond to this message or send me a personal one if you are interested.

Thanks!

Aric

Feel free to PM me anytime for a ride. I ride Lebanon and Murphy the most since I am close to those. I have no issues with riding at whatever pace you want to go at and or stopping for breaks. I mostly just enjoy being outside on the trail.

I get pretty busy during the week but hit me up w/ a PM if you wanna ride. If I can make, i'll join ya!

I'm in South Minneapolis, BTW, and riding to and from Theo w/ 3-4 (or more) laps makes for a good workout...

Thanks very much for the kind offers! I'm going to a friends cabin for the rest of the week, unexpectedly, but you will very likely hear from me next week for some riding fun!

Always looking for more people to hit the trails with, so if anyone is interested.. feel free to reply.

I live near Nokomis too and am will to meet down at Leb or Theo. I ride at a medium pace, but not really "training" just out riding. Mondays at Theo are always a good way to start the week.

I also live near Nokomis and am up for riding. I don't train, but I like to ride a couple times a week and I'm not too fast or in spectacular shape. Maybe we need a Nokomis area group ride! Seems like alot of us out there!
