Group Ride: Battle Creek - Wed July 2nd 6:00pm

For those of you who are not getting an early jump on the holiday weekend. The usual Wed. night group ride is on.

5:15 warm up lap - 6:00 main event.

Watch the board for updates since the weather is looking iffy right now.

No ride for me tomorrow, the nephew in laws birthday party is tomorrow, and we get to help the BIL, in WI, get his hands on some WI legal fireworks. Interesting laws there. WI people can not buy fireworks, but can shoot them. MN people can buy real fireworks, but can not shoot them.

Yeah, I should have all my fingers. We are just the buyers. then we hand off said items. Then said items go to cabin (in WI) with BIL, who lights said items there, on the 4th. We will not be going to the cabin, and will be in MN, so won't be doing anything to loose fingers, cept maybe biking or boating & watching the professionals shout fireworks.

Big sandy was mysteriously bulldozed and removed from Battle Creek, so there is no reson to even look for it.

Just got back from making a mower handoff at BC.

Jeff Schalz (aka Black Bart, Road Warrior) is out there mowing right now. He's starting at the lower lot and heading over to the overlook trail. He should have a good share of it cleared by the time the ride starts tonight.

Wow... 28 riders! Great night, great group.

Sorry we didn't get to do the hill repeats on Big Sandy but at least we did 2 repeats on Pallet Bridge.... and yes you can still ride up Pallet Bridge.

Nice group tonight. The groups continue to get bigger each week. I think that means that we need to keep building stuff. The new log ride is by far my favorite section.

I noticed quite a few face-slappers. I will take care of those on Friday.

Sounds like there was quite the crew last night. That's awesome! Jeff called me during the ride and said there was a crapload of people there. He sounded pretty happy to be out riding with a group.
