During my ride this evening I stopped 3 separate times to fill my camelbak with 1 empty beer can, 1 torn wifebeater shirt, what appeared to be a good portion of a torn up tarp or tent rain cover, an empty gatorade bottle and an REI energy granola bar wrapper. At the common area (intermediate and X/XX merge) I picked up a camelbak bladder and unattached hose. I assume if you had a camelbak bladder you had a bag to hold the bladder. Why can't you pack it up and take it with you in the very same bag you brought it in with? :banghead:

Please do not litter the trails with trash and if you bring something in to the trail please bring it out. If you see trash that someone has left behind, please pick it up.

I assume that most, if not all the users of this forum are not the guilty parties as it's probably the same jackasses that poach and ruin our trails when wet.

As much as I ride this trail I feel guilty having never shown up at a trail work session and as soon as my wife's soccer season is over I do plan to make it out to a few. A few group rides as well.

My rant is done.

Thanks for the reminder. It is good to see people are willing to stop and pick up trash. It really helps us out to have people like yourself willing to pack out bottles etc.

If all of us reading this were to grab a stray bottle or wrapper here or there, or stop and take care of a face slapper.... we'd have a lot less maintenance.

It seems like many are doing just that. We'd love to see you at trailwork and group rides as your schedule permits. Until then, thanks for doing what you can!

I agree 100%. If you bring it in- make sure it comes out with you. Most of the trails provide places to throw trash and recycle. I understand that sometimes water bottles fall out of cages and things fall out of camelbacks, but I hate seeing trash out on the trail. It is great when people pick up trash after others and hopefully that will set a positive example.

this reminds me- I should bring a trash bag to trail work this week...

My rant is done.

Thanks for picking up the trail crap! If you make it to the MORBID meat up (http://www.morbidmtb.com/2008/06/morbid-meat-up-2.html) tomorrow I will buy you a beer. Just remind me. :D
