KittyCat productions presents:

What: Murphy Group Ride
Where: Murphy! (uhhhh....)
When: 11 a.m., this Sunday, June 22nd
Who: You! And the other fabulous members and non-members (soon to be members) of MORC!

Why? Because it's fun, and it's summer, and it's there!

We'll ride promptly at 11...at least one lap, with post-ride plans to barbeque at Snowcat's (Gary's) house nearby.

If you can make it an hour early, show up at 10 a.m. to help out with trailwork for an hour before the ride. :) (bring gloves and bug spray!)

And if you're new to MORC, please don't hesitate to come by and say hello, for trailwork, or to ride with us, barbeque with us, whatever! Just introduce yourself...we like you.

:)

April was kind enough not to mention my house for the post-ride festivities in case I was drinking too much when I volunteered last night. But I'm sober now and still offering use of my gas grill, fridge and aircraft carrier-sized deck for anyone who wants to stop over. You can PM me for the address or hit me up at the trail and follow, I live very close to Murphy.

Are trailworkers allowed to join the cool kids for the BBQ/festivities?

Since it won't be possible to do both trailwork and the group ride... if any riders would like to get 'warmed up' and help out for an hour before the ride... show up an hour early (at 10am).

We need to haul in a bunch of rocks, and we'd love the help.

That goes without saying Pete. You guys get the VIP pass.

I'll stop out at 10 to help until we ride.

 I missed the last one because I never saw the post and this one I will be out of town.

Then again I am going on vacation so I shouldn't complain. Next time I will be there.

I can carry rocks. I have my trailworking gloves in the car so I should see you around 10. :D

Thanks for offering up your home, Snowcat! Hopefully it ends up being a gorgeous day for barbequeing and socializing and RIDING! :)

I should be able to drag my lazy butt there by 10, as well. I was thinking about it anyway. Are they big rocks? Little rocks? Do we need to bring anything else? I have a pair of clippers I could bring just in case.

I'm bringing bug spray this time, too...I got eaten to bits last night! First the bee, then the mosquitos! Bah!

Check the trail work that Pete posted for the moving rocks thing. Murphy work usually goes until 2ish so it depends on how much you want to ride over helping with trail work.

The rocks are all sizes, but most of them can be lifted/carried by one person.

If you are helping before the ride, all you need are gloves (some of the rocks might be sharp).

You can skip the clippers... there probably won't be enough time to do any significant trimming if you plan to go on the 11 o'clock ride. I figure one or two trips with one (or two) rocks and you'll have to head to the lot for the ride.

It doesn't sound like much, but if a bunch of people show up we'll be able to get a lot of rocks moved in short amount of time.

Thanks!!

Is there a wheelbarrow that a few rocks could go in? I might be able to grab one from my neighbor, if it'd be useful.

Sounds fun and all but can't make this one - hope you all get good weather for trail work, ride, and BBQ'n..

Funny - we've been doing the BBQ'n post ride a lot lately, better than sitting in a bar if you ask me!

Murphy was awesome today! Thanks to everyone who came out and rode (and double thanks to the people who did trailwork until almost 3!! Pete, Mike and Rodney, you all rock!)

Had a great time on the trail, and good times at Gary's afterwards for beer, margs (thanks, Bootsiebee!), and burgers.

Nice to meet Nick and Dan on the ride, too!

Can't wait for the next get-together. :)

I prefer kind that leave money.

Nope they aren't mine, maybe Nancy or Katy's. Of course you can say they're yours and I'll hand 'em over but the Margarita mix stays.

April makes a mean Bleu Cheese burger. Just don't reheat one in the microwave too long, causes really interesting artwork.

Yes - beeeeeautiful day for a ride! Lap 1 was great! Lap 2... not so nice. Apparently, I had a date with the dirt!

Gary, thanks for offering your home, your hostility...! I can feel good about removing all the brown peanut m&m's from your bowl!

April, always a pleasure.

Nice to see you Mike & Nick.

Nice to meet you Dan.
