I'll be there. Anyone in St Louis Park / North MSP who wants to carpool let me know; leaving the 100/394 area about 6:30 I would guess if I be a drivin.

I'm out for this one--going to Maah Daah Hey! So I'll still be riding, just not at Leb.
I will be there for a nice little ride.

I'm gonna try to make this one. Neil I'd carpool with ya, but I think I'm gonna try to get down there a little earlier...like 5:30. Any chance you can leave earlier?
As long as we're on the subject of group rides...there might be some prospective new members at this ride, so please everyone, if you see some people hovering nearby that seem like they want to introduce themselves, do your best to make them feel comfortable and maybe beat them to the punch and say hello. Membership is what makes us strong, and it's not that hard to make people feel at home.
Maybe we need to develop a MORC Street Team -- people designated to be the "meet and greet" type, who wear buttons and are willing to be approached by newbies with questions, conversation, etc. I know not everyone is the outgoing type, but yeah...let's make this "take a noob under your wing" month at MORC.
I cannot WAIT to get the women's jerseys...at least then people will visibly know who I represent, and hopefully I can be an even stronger advocate for our great organization.
Jumping off soapbox now... :crazy2:

Ocare Bear - I'm going to 2wheel commute on Thursday... maybe you can give bootsiebee a ride down to Leb... also, I'll be working late.
Or... Bikerkitty - (sorry, originally missed your post) - can I hitch a ride from ya?

I was totally planning on being there this week. But, of course, life gets in the way. I have some condo association stuff I have to to attend to. Hopefully I'll get out there this weekend. :embarass:

I think I can make this group ride finally. Been wanting to make a thursday ride at Leb for a while now and I finally have the chance. I'll see you all there.
Oh- I'll be taking off from West St. Paul (cherokee park neighborhood) and have a spot for another bike if anyone needs a ride. Just let me know.

Fun times tonight! Good to meet all the newer folks! Or new to me anyway.
I could've done without driving my bike (again) into the garage door when I got home, but whaddya gonna do? I think I may be too flighty to have a roof rack. Sorta like clipless, I need to go back to platforms (trunk rack). :( I just don't have the concentration required...
I wasn't even drunk! Just sleepy and absentminded. I should've taken a pic of the rack, fully assembled, WITH BIKE ON IT!, sitting in my driveway just outside of the garage. Somehow, I just had to laugh. That's my life, in a nutshell.

Sorry I missed everyone tonight. :( April, try this. Make a note that says something like "YOU HAVE A BIKE ON TOP OF YOUR CAR" hang it from that little release handle that dangles down when your garage door is open... When the door goes up you see the sign and save a bike and lots of scratches. :\
Great ride last night. Thanks to all for putting it together. Sorry I had to run right after the ride.
April, try tossing the garage door opener under the seat when you leave. That way your more likely to remember there are bikes up top as you have to stop and search for the opener. A friend told me that one after I folded my Tomassini into a pretzel.

Good ride last night. I think its time to put the bike away until fall temps arrive though. ;)
Ted, thanks for clearing the downed trees.
Pinkboy - you are much improved since last year!
Dave T - thanks for the show... always something super human going on with this guy.
Tim W. was out doing machine work on the newest section of the new trail... we're all excited for opening day. (probably late July or August)
The parking lot at Leb is ridiculous. Down with soccer moms.

Great ride last night! Trail was perfect! April... so glad you didn't keel over from that bee sting... save that nonsense for when you're riding with Jodi!
Ocare Bear... better luck next time catching me on the way out!
Pinkboy?... We'll have to add that one to the growing list.
Reed - remember January 30th... one GOAT please!!!
What a turn out - great to see so many out there riding.
Hopefully next week will hold up weather-wise for another great ride/evening.

+1 - Yes! Trail was fast! Just curious... what conditions make the trail fast? Cuz, man, when it is... it's sooooooooooo fun! Almost rode the entire time last night ss! Mostly just too lazy to shift.
Oh, & Nick... did you run over that bunny at the beginning of the trail???

I had a lot of fun last night. It was good to meet some more MORC members. Thanks for letting me ride along and join in on the beers at OC.
I'm gonna try to make it out for some more group rides and help with the trail work as well. Hope to see you all out there.
Katy - I made call and might be able to get a goat for you. I'll keep you posted. :)

Great ride last night, even tho I got there a little late, i guess. I saw the possiblilty of the change, but didn't pick up on it.
Fun times
Yeah, that lot was crazy. And what about that other group?
Good times at the OC.
Great to meet some new some old people last night.

The trail was fast. To bad I wasn't faster to take more advantage of that :D
It was great meeting a bunch of new people and I really dig that Thai pizza at the OC.
I'll see if I can make it out next week and bring a camera along this time.
some old people last night.

Yeah, the last time this happened, I put the opener in the glove box for good, but I have one on my keychain and have gotten WAY too used to using it. :( I'm about to go survey the damage in the daylight and hope that my bike is really as okay as it seemed last night. I don't see HOW my bike was strong enough to take the entire impact of the garage door AND the sliding-off of the rack from my roof. The screw in the passenger-side tray very nearly put a hole in my roof. It's about 2 mm away from going all the way through. :(

It wasn't me killing this time :D. Poor chipmunk, he never had a chance.
To me when the trail is very dry and has a good hard surface it is fast, and holds corners well.

I KNEW someone was going to take it that way. I thought about it for a second, and decided I didn't care, and didn't have time to word it correctly. and don't forget, I am up there too.

Throw your garage door opener in your back seat so when you go look for it gives you time to think more about it. Good advice that James Ford has mentioned to me.

Or... get a taller garage door. Mine is just tall enough that I can drive in and the seat scrapes the trim enough to let me know I forgot to take the bike off. :crazy2:

BK, perhaps you should get one of the old Yakima Load Alert things.

I saw a van w/ a wrought iron table atop take on a garage. All three lost.
