Weather looks good for trailwork this week... its likely we will be positioning one of the boardwalks and assembling.

We do have some trimming that needs to be done, but at this time I"m hoping to get a few volunteers to help out rather than take an entire crew. If it doesn't get done in the next week or so we may have to take the next trailwork off and do some trimming.

I'd like to stay focused on the new trail until its complete if at all possible.. we'll see.

Here is the Leb trailwork FAQ for those who might be interested or have questions: http://www.morcmtb.org/wiki/index.php/Lebanon_Hills_Trailwork_FAQ

Hope to see you out this Tuesday, it will be fun to see one of the boardwalks start to take shape!

Thank you John & Liz for all the trimming! Liz, I was the one who rode by and said Hi, then later yelled Thank you!

I did a little trimming on the fallen trees after the camelback. Logs still there, but once you carry your bike over, you don't have to duck thru the branches.

Cool, nice to put a name with a face. Glad you made it out alive without getting weed-whacked by us!

I plan to be there. Do you need any power tools for boardwalk assembly? I'll bring a cordless drill and circular saw.
Hey did I mention there are gloves to be had for new trail workers!!!

If we have a group willing to do some trimming that would be cool. There might also be some clearing to be done on the most recent trail that has been flagged for machine work.

There will be good treats... not sure what yet but we'll have something for sure. :D

Are you running a glove smuggling operation? Seems like the supply of gloves is endless and mysterious....

What I think happened was when buying the initial pairs I got a female glove and a male glove and I left them in the car and then Spring came and..:crazy2::D

It is still OK to ride. Most of us will be on new trail that is not opened yet. There may be a couple out trimming so keep your eyes open and thank them when you go by.

New personal best: 5 ticks post trail work...

Thanks everyone for your help tonight!

We got one boardwalk section in place and the other ready to start next week. Another crew cleared half the remaining section of to-be-built trail, and we even got a feature built out of a nice oak that decided to fall over the trail. The "Y" ride...

Nice work everyone, and thanks so much for digging in and helping carry those heavy sections over to the other side of the lake (er... swamp).

We're making progress thanks to all you hard working volunteers!!

If you can't make it out but want to donate a little toward the effort of the volunteers, buy em' a slice or two of pizza...

(and 0 ticks... I've been out there dozens of time and have had maybe one total.. I guess I don't smell very good to them)

Since this has turned into the seasonal tick tally, I scored two yesterday bringing my season to around 8.
Caught one in the lot and the second on the way home. Got it on the back of my head in the little dent where the neck bone connects to the head bone and it was already going for blood.

Fun night building boardwalks and the new obstacle that should be good for some laughs.;)

I checked my user CP and I don't see any new rep points. Is that delayed, or are you pulling my leg.

Maybe Liz's post actually has something, and I can't see it, cause Big Brother hides things from me. But, just so you know, when I posted my post, all I saw was Liz's "posted from mobile device" note.

But, thanks for the points, if given.

I think he meant, he gave rep joints to Liz for her post...

Oh yeah, upon closer investigation of every word in John's post, I clearly now see HER post. somehow my eager rep points mind missed that.

But, John did give me some after that. THANKS JOHN!!

I swear my Treo 750 has a mind of its own. It seems to like to call people and post on forums without my knowledge. At least it didn't say anything bad. WT?

ANd, I just checked from home, where Big Brother isn't around, and still nothing there. Glad to hear it was your mobile device, and not my eyes. My bluetooth likes to call people without me doing it.
