I am a beginner to intermediate rider and thought i would give leb. a try after work friday evening. I think the some of the man made obsicles look really fun, but i was just wondering if their is some of this stuff to try on the beginner or intermediate trails or if you have to ride the expert trails? Also just wondering what the heck are the expert trails like do i even think about messing around on them? thanks a lot

Don't be afraid to ride Leb. The trail is easily marked and most of the obsticles can be riden around or if need be get off your bike and walk. There's qualifiers before the hard parts. If you can clear them you should have no problem on the trail

For now. Once more posts get put in that will no longer go to the most recent. Here's a link guaranteed to go to the 'most recent' page for the next few hundred years:

Hmm, I ended up in 2003. But, I saw I was on page 191 or something, and clicked on FIRST PAGE, and there was a post from yesterday.
Guess nothing in life is guaranteed.

guess not. I forgot you can actually configure the forums to go in oldest->newest or newest->oldest order. So the last page is not always the newest for everyone. Curses for having too many options.

Yeah, I thought of that too. I was brought to post 11, so I guess if I would have scrolled down, it would have been #1, and since I have newest first, that must be opposite of the way yours is set up.
Friday the 13th....

This one will work for Leb trail conditions, regardless of how you have your display set. So you can bookmark this if that's what you want. But make sure you bookmark this link, and not what it forwards you too or you will have the same problem.

Or, if you click on the link in the forum display it will bring you to the newest post regardless of whether you have oldest to newest or vv, but that only works if the thread you want to read has the latest post in that forum.
ie if you are here:
http://www.morcmtb.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=23
right now, the last post in the Theo forum is trail conditions. So for that thread if you click on the link Trail Conditions in Detail -... (http://www.morcmtb.org/forums/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=11411) you'll go to the last post (the hover text also tells you this).

I am also thinking about heading out to Lebanon today if the conditions permit. I'm aiming for 3 this afternoon.
I have had a mountain bike for about 10 years but it has never really served its purpose until a few days ago when I hit up Murphy-Hanrehan for my first mountain biking experience. Loved it. Quite the change since I have been doing a lot of road biking the past few months (training for a century ride that took place 6/1 in Tahoe with Team in Training).
I really hope I don't hit a tree...

Back to the lecture at hand "Is Leb ridable for a novice?" I went to Leb for the first time ever Tues. Rode all the trails and I would consider myself a beginner to intermediate rider also. My suggestion for you would be to hang out in the parking lot wait for a group to to start there ride and see if you tag along (they should have no problem with this). Leb is definitely a work out and a blast. I did all the log piles with no problem its the rocks gardens that are tricky. Fell twice thats normal. I hope this influences your decision to ride Leb (its a go).
p.s. bug spray and check the trail conditions before you ride

leb is fun for a noob just take your time if you havent been there before and have fun you dont have to race threw it if people get behind you just let them by.
