I would be up for Murphy. It seemed like it was recovering from the rain well.

Same here, riding Theo with the expectation that it should be dry by now.
Riding at 6:30 P with Dirk and others if they show up.
-- Meet at N. entrance if interested.

Even though I just did the MS150, I'm down for a ride..
Thinking Theo (nothing with me at work - so has to be close to home).

If Theo is too wet, I'd even be down with a semi-short ride on blacktop (like from Theo, down around Calhoun and ?? - then back.

Nothing major (i.e. not long or fast) - but would prefer dirt to anything else, had my fill of blacktop for a bit, but still want to ride.

Thanks, I do. I also ride there from my house so it's easy to inspect. If Section 5 is too wet I'll just poach the flower garden.

Stiff winds and sunshine bode well kemosabe.

I am thinking about Theo, but am also pretty sure it's too wet. I am working on getting someone out there early to check on conditions.

If I get a solid answer, I will post up. It's super nice out......if we can't ride dirt it will be a big bummer.

Posted in Leb Trail Condtions....

monday: parking lot closed, trail still closed.

Very likely that is Leb is too wet, both Murphy and Theo will be too wet.

Doesn't make me happy, but it is what it is.

Doesn't make me happy, but it is what it is.

It has happened more than a few times that one trail was open while others have been closed.
Actually wasn't just a week or two ago that Theo was closed and Leb was open (usually it's the opposite).
I'm not supporting riding a wet trail, I'm just saying we are calling it closed before someone actually checks it out..

I'd be down w/ an urban ride or something. I need to get the kinks out of the KHS...

If the Theo ride gets canceled, I'd be down - again not anything too far/fast - I've had my damn fill of road riding for a bit, but still wouldn't mind getting a little time in while it's so great out.

I am not canceling any rides, I am just making sure people don't get their hopes up. Many times people will ride just because they drove a ways or made an effort to get to the trails.......you would be amazed how often I hear..."But I drove an hour to get here!".........:banghead:

Three Rivers trail conditions hotline (763-559-6778) has a message recorded today (June 9th) stating that mountain bike trails at Murphy are open.

Granted, I have no experience with 3Riv personnel other than giving them money for ski-passes, I would think that they would not have the trails open unless they believe that can be open. And I trust 3Riv more than arm-chair (office-chair) speculation.

Boots, see you in the COL.

Not only are the trails still muddy, tons of people have ridden it and done a lot of damage. He let out about 5 f-words on the phone.....I would say he was a bit upset, but it's the same old same old........:banghead:

Please stay off the trail today......thanks!

If you go back a few posts, I think people were being cautious of that report and will plan on inspecting the trail before they ride it. That was what I gathered anyway.

Hmmmm...and you're calling Bootsie lazy? Interesting.

I'd be down for Murphy but with gas at $3.92 a gallon, I'm doing a road ride around N/NE Mpls instead and then helping a friend work on his bike. And by helping, I mean keeping him company and handing him tools. ;)

Um - she didn't ride MS150 now, did she?
I have no idea how far/fast I will feel like riding, all I know is I want to be out enjoying this weather if this is the only good day this week.

There is no way I'm going to be making it down to Murph - it would be far too late by the time I got home and get my bike and drive back down there to be worth it (in time and gas).. Which totally bums me out, I really wanted off road today after all that blacktop riding.

BTW: avg price per gallon of gas in US is now over $4 - I don't even want to think what the price will be over the 4th.

Though I work in the SW, I do not live that way - it would have been 7:30 at the earliest I could be down there - and a hell of a lot of driving in rush hr traffic (both ways).. not my idea of fun.

I'm sure it was a good ride though.

Ours was decent, little ride on the bike paths which ended up at St. Anthony & Main (Tugg's) for barely-pop on the deck, then back.
