Is anyone interested in riding Mammoth this Saturday morning (5/31/08)? I'd like to go with someone who knows the trail, as I seem to get lost every time and miss a good part of the trail. Let me know. Thanks!

I was thinking of riding there Sunday. Saturday is for perpetuating a stereotype.

I am running a 5k Sunday morning, but I have always wanted to ride at Mammoth. Hmmm now I just have to figure out where it is...

I can send you directions if you want them. But I will probably do that later tonight or tomorrow sometime. So check your PMs.

The Ballpark is in Chaska just off of 41 (south of Hwy 5 a few miles). Just so you have an idea.

From AV, I usually take 13 to 169 just passed Shakopee to 41. Turn right on 41 and take that through Chaska and up the hill. At the Target, I think it's Pioneer Trail, you turn left and go a couple blocks and on the right side, just passed Johnathan Elementay, there are some ball fields and a picnic shelter. That is the main trailhead.

Mammoth is a rogue illegal trail. MORC should not be supporting its use - indirectly or otherwise. Disassociate stat.

I don't think it is illegal. There is nothing that states that no bikes can ride there. MORC has no involvement in this trail.

I thought MORCs extent of disassociating with Mammoth was to remove all reviews, maps, descriptions and endorsements.
I also thought posting group rides was more or less unrestricted. Highway 8 dirt jumps, freeride urban rides or Mammoth for example.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

I would be up for it, BUT I am not sure if it rained there, I just got home, and I busted a high mile high speed ride today.

mara and I are out. We think it is probably to wet at Mammoth and unless we had a solid answer, it's not worth us driving all the way out there to possibly not ride.

Better luck next time.....:cryin:
