National Trails Day workday --Duluth, MN

A workday day is planned for the Hartley trails for National Trails Day, June 7.

Meet at the red square [corner of the Howard Gnensen Rd and Norton Rd] 9am.
Bring gloves, water, your favorite pulaski and mccleod and/or a hammer.

We'll be building a re-reoute around some private property and a 50' boardwalk over a muddy spot.

here's a list of things to bring for saturday's trailwork--

pulaskis
mccleods
screwgun
or
hammer
bug spray
water/food
raingear


the new trail corridor is cleared.

one group will be benchcutting in a new trail tread, tying the new trail into the old trail.
another group will be hauling deadfall out of the woods to close the old trail
another group will be building a boardwalk over a muddy spot to connect the old trail to the new trail.
pick your favorite...

meet at the hg rd/norton rd intersection part of the trail @ 9am. park on the norton rd if you drive.
be prepared for this to be a long day. the new trail will need to be finished, more important is the old trail
will need to be closed.
