I wanted to say that you guys are doing great work on this trail. The new obstacles are great (I'm still 1 for 3 on that teeter totter, but I'll figure it out :).
Any plans to re-work the jump in section 3? It's getting very rounded. It would be nice to have it a bit higher so we could catch more air.
Also, when is the new part of section 1 going to be opened? I noticed the tape was down, but it was unclear if it was opened so I skipped it. It looks fun though.
Also, what happened to the log pile in section 4 before the steep hill?
Keep up the good work! I'm going to try and make it out for a monday night build session.

Yeah, the teeter is a tall, slow tipper! You kind of need to ride almost all the way to the end of it, then do a short trackstand, and then get rolling again just before it touches down. The key is to come at it with enough speed to 'coast' to the tipping point. Less balance is required early on that way. (you're going slower for a shorter period of time, and slow is when it's difficult to balance)
The jump in S3 must be the log pile at the bottom of the descent, right before the climb? Yeah, we can rework that to get it into a nicer shape again. If you can make it out to help on a Monday, we can pick that for a project. Sound good? Just remind me that that's what you'd like to work on.
The new part of S1 (I'm assuming you mean the new Expert loop, X2) is rideable for those who inspect it first, to know what they're getting into. Waiting for the signage to be completed for the 'official' opening.
I'm not sure which log pile in S4 you're referring to? Ask me if you see me out there! :)
Thanks, and keep on riding!

I'm used to the leb teeter being on a downslope so it's easier to keep momentum. :)
Ok, I'll plan on helping out on monday the 19th. Do I need to bring anything? I do have an extra green treated 2x12 sitting around. Probably about 8'. I also have a few pieces of green treated 6x6 that could probably be used for something. Probably around a 3' piece, and a couple of 1' chunks. Let me know and I'll stuff it in the car.
Awesome, I'll try the expert loop later tonight, weather permitting.
In the middle of s4 there's a short decent into an s-turn with a short drop into sand (1' maybe). There was a good sized log pile there after the sand in a short climb into another s turn before the steep decent. It was there for a couple of weeks, then disappeared. I was just wondering if it was perhaps an un-sanctioned, user built obstacle or something.
Also, thanks for removing the washtub and putting that short drop in. It's pretty cool ripping around that corner catching some air off the hump, then hitting the drop with some speed. The washtub always absorbed too much momentum. :)
Thanks,
Seth

We don't have any current projects that need wood, but if you need to get it out of your way, bring it with you and leave it with us at the trail.
I'm not aware of any 'renegade' features that were removed. Maybe Joel has more info. We'll ask him on Monday. I still can't picture what you're referring to.
Once we repaired the downhill run coming at the washtub, it was too fast for that feature. You pretty much had to jam on the brakes to hit it or you'd launch into orbit. Slowing down isn't really desirable right before an extended climb... like the one right after the washtub! It will probably be relocated to a more appropriate location.
