I know this is a mountain biking community, but does anyone here rock climb and be intested in going sometime? (Its a good activity on days it rains :D)

I used to climb 3 nights a week at VE but haven't been for a couple years. I would love to get back into it. My wife and I are thinking of taking the beginning class over there. She is new and it would be a great refresher for me. hmmmm.

It has been a while but I have been wanting to get back into it.
Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville has climbing and I think they have the fake real rock (like REI's pinnacle) instead of just cement with holds bolted on.
I only mention that because it is close for me and I have a membership.

I like to climb, but I'd much rather climb outside. If anyone is ever interested in meeting at Red Wing let me know!

i'm a member at v.e., and typically climb on monday evenings or during the day. i'd be happy to climb (i'm a low 5.10er), because my regular partner went back to school. -kim

I would like to do it sometime. I consider myself a noob since I have not climbed since 99. I guess I never looked hard to find people that climb. The main reason I have not been climbing is because I dont have any to do it with.

I used to be an avid climber, but I am amongst the majority here when I say it's been a few years since i've done any. Did some gym climbing while on vacation last year in Jackson, WY and had a blast. I'd be up for some climbing sometime. I have some older equip, but no ropes...gave them all away.

Looks like a big mass trip to VE is in order... We can all fall and unsafely belay each other together.

Anyone up for a trip to Red Wing to do some outdoor climbing? We could even throw the bikes in for a lap at Memorial...
Maybe next sunday?

I'd be down to head to Memorial. Anyone else be bringing DH bikes? I'm a 5.8 climber. Then again, I'm a cyclist, so I'm content! More of a "buildering" fan.

Interesting that the only other climber I know on here (OCary, that's how we met) has yet to respond. I'm on sabbatical from climbing do to a much higher interest in biking. Anyone wanna buy some BD cams or a gently used rope?
have fun but get outside if you can, pulling on plastic is like riding a stationary bike IMHO.

I can not do Red Wing next week (going to the cabin) but I could do VE any day during the week except Friday.

Got my new rope in the mail today, going to be itching to give it a try soon!
