That's right, Hillside Park in Elk River is now open for the season! Of course, standard wet trail (non)usage applies for any precipitation.

Users should be aware that we are in the process of repairing some sections of the existing trail, and also creating new trails and features. Some of the new stuff will be for advanced skilled riders only. All advanced features will be marked so that novice and average riders do not unintentionally ride them. If you see orange tape across a trail, it is closed. Please do not ride those sections or features until after they are completed and opened. They are closed for your safety and for the preservation of the work being done.

:banana:NOW GO RIDE IT!!!

Don't forget about the trailwork dates for April 26th and 27. Join us.

Trail was very nice to ride today. Dry, but sandy in some spots, and leaf cover left over from the fall.

The trail crew (Rich, Tony, Eddie, Porter and other outstanding trail workers) were out working on trail, creating some killer jumps.

I was especially impressed with the trail crew's dedication to gettting the trail in shape to ride for the spring: They were using hair dryers to dry out the trail. I think Tony, had, like 5 of his personal hair dryers he used to dry the trail out. Now, that's dedication! Thanks, Tony!

Hillside rocks!

Hillside is AWESOME! Thanks to all who were working on the trail today. Your efforts are greatly appreciated! Three laps were definitely worth the drive.

The trail was open all day today, and the parking lot was as full as I've ever seen it. It was packed. May need to have an expansion soon.:D Thanks to everyone who's hit it over the weekend. I know the sand and leaves are a bit of nuisance right now, but we'll be taking care of that next weekend during the trailwork time. Much spring cleanup to do, so please come help us out if you can. It's pretty much the only time we put out the APB for help, so now's your chance to put in a couple hours and make a difference for the trail.:)

We'll have some little swag-bags for the first X # of workers each day. Plus some other free product for everyone.

Go ride it!

Trail is in great shape, nice work Rich and crew.
The leaves add a nice x-factor to some of those corners ;)
