New National Mountain Bike Patroller Training for the Backcountry Trail Patrol and Barmy Dogs Mountain Bike Patrol this year will be on June 7 & 8, at the Namakagon Town Hall and CAMBA trailhead, 10 miles east of Cable, WI. Free camping Friday and Saturday nights at the USFS Namakagon Campground.

More information to follow, but start thinking about becoming part of the NMBP. Serve other trail users, support our sport and give back to the fantastic CAMBA trails.

Note: The Backcountry Trail Patrol requires 16 hours of Wilderness First Aid (from WMI/NOLS, WMA, Red Cross, SOLO or our own Emergicare Medical Training division) and CPR for active membership. There will probably be a WFA and CPR course in St. Anthony during May. Details will be posted at www.trailpatrol.org (http://www.trailpatrol.org/) when the class is finalized. You can also find complete details on the Backcountry Trail Patrol's functions, training and membership requirements on the website.

The Backcountry Trail Patrol and the Barmy Dogs Mountain Bike Patrol are volunteer, non-profit organizations operating on USDA Forest Service trails under a Memorandum of Understanding/Volunteer Service Agreement with the Chequamegon/Nicolet National Forest.

Our medical training business is going to require my being up in Northhome on June 5th and 6th, so we are going to move our annual patroller training weekend back to it's original location, Simpson Creek Trails in the Chippewa National Forest. The schedule will basically be the same, but we will meet at the Gosh Dam Place, south of Inger on MN Hwy. 46, at 6:00 PM for dinner, hopefully with the US Forest Service. Training will take place on the Cutfoot Sioux and Simpson Creek systems, and (pending USFS approval) at the Visitor Information Center on Hwy. 46 at Little Cutfoot Sioux Lake.

More info to follow.
Ride safe,
