Just curious if anyone knows of any dirt trails around the New London, Willmar area? I did a quick search in the forums, and came up with ONE mention of something but no specifics. Anyone have any hints? Cheers!

There might be trails you could ride out at Sibley state park north of Willmar on Hwy 71. Check with a ranger first but they don't get tons of traffic out there and might be open to letting you ride.

There is a paved rails to trails section between Willmar High School and Spicer that may turn to gravel beyond Spicer. It's kind of a nice, scenic trail though I've only rollerbladed on it.

Other than that, plenty of rolling, hilly gravel roads and it's not recommended, but, I used to poach gravel pits, field roads and pastures.

It has been almost 20 years since I lived out there so maybe there are more options now.

Go Cardinals!

What Dave said. He's been there much more recently than I have.

I was out there a couple years ago for school, and wasn't really into biking at the time, but I don't really know of any mountain biking, or even large chunks of forest with any potential for trails. Not to rip the town but bring a book, unless you fish there's not too much to do there. I think there is a paved trail heading north from new london, Glaical ridge I think it's called. never ridden it though
