Are people still planning on riding Steeple even though it is closed? I will probably take my chances.

While it does suck that Steeple is closed......I don't think it's a good idea to tresspass on private property.
Doesn't exactly send a good message! :banghead:

That will certainly send the wrong message to whomever the new owners end up being. Right now the scenario is that whenever new owners are in place we plan on being right back out there building and riding, trespassing on private property is about the quickest way to end all hope of us being able to ride out there again. And don't think no one will know about it. The gate is locked so you would have to park outside and ride in. Basically let me say that this is the stupidest thing I have heard someone say in a long time on these boards. If you need further clarification on why it wouldn't be a good idea to trespass on private let me know and I will see if I can spell it out for you more clearly.

Our access to quality trails is somewhat limited in this part of the state, please don't threaten it further by trespassing.

Gee, and I wondered why mountain biking has such a bad image... You do realize how hard it is to find places to ride don't you??

I know some land owners near Steeple. I would not cross them.
If an area is closed and posted, expect to get into trouble with land owners and the police. There is a certain tubing hill on the southside of Rochester where I know this to be true, and a couple places in town too. Not that I know from firsthand experience or anything from many years back. ;)
