I'm getting a group of friends to bike from Hinckley to Grand Marais, and back, this summer. We plan on taking a week and enjoying the scenery and awesome state parks. None of us have ever biked that far and we're not totally sure of what to bring or anything. We want to travel really light. If you have any tips or suggestions that would be AWESOME! Or if you have suggestions on which trails to take that would be great. I've been researching them as much as possible, but the only way to know the best route is to take it!

Thanks!

Anything and everything you ever wanted to know about bicycle travel and touring: Adventure Cycling Association (http://www.adventurecycling.org/). I'll be giving a talk about ACA at the next meeting of the Twin Cities Spoke of the International Christian Cycling Club at Chez Daniels in Eden Prairie, noon on April 4th.

Yes, it is but you need to RSVP with Tim Turnquist by one week before. Go to the Twin Cities Spoke (http://www.twincitiesspoke.com/index.php) website and click on the "Contact Us" link at the top.
