Does anyone know any bikeshops in the area that carry these?

I picked up my last pair at Penn. Are you looking for the clamps and grips? I have a bunch of spare grips anyhow.

Yeah, I need both the clamps and grips. I went to Get Your Gear in Chaska and Erik's in Eden Prarie on Saturday and neither had them.

Chuck at Behind Bars (http://www.behind-bars.com/)has them. He always has them in stock. They are by far my favorite.

Eric's carries the grips but not the lock on clamps, or maybe it was the other way around, I don't remember. Either way you have to order one or the other online. I was really pissed when I found out they only sold parts and not the complete kits.

I wanna say Sunset Cycle has them, but I'm not sure. I know they're some sort of lock-on grips and in complete kits. I'd have to check brand, I guess.
Why would anyone carry or use anything but ODI's? :D

Well, since I wasn't actually looking to make a purchase at the time, I didn't pay any attention to brand.:p
My point was that ODI's are so good that no one should be using anything else...or selling anything else. Sorry I wasn't more direct in the first post;)

That's strange because I got my set at Erik's when I bought my SS 29'er there....
Hmmmm Maybe they don't have them anymore?

every Erik's will sell the full kit. It happens time to time that folks just need grips, or just need clamps; inevitable that the balance will be off. But, I know we've got them. I just bought a pair from Bloomington, and there were both Black and Silver clamps as well as the Rogue and Ruffian grips.

I prefer the Yeti (which are made by ODI). The Yeti has a smaller diameter and a more gnarley grip. Pedros are also okay, but they wear out quicker.
I thought that with big hands, I'd like the bigger grips. But after using them, I found that I prefer the smaller grips.

I have been using the Yeti grips for about 10 years now, love 'em.

Go Yeti if you can, I have been using these for 2 years now. They peel slightly but hold their shape and the added padding by the Yeti Logo oval provides slightly more cush for the push if you position it on the palm.

I was looking at the ODIs, but kind of limited selection of shorter ones. Who's using them w/ GripShift? Are they really that great? why are they better than other locking grips?

My kid has the short ODI's for his grip shift. He kept twisting off his stock ones on his 24" ride so I invested in the twist shift version.
ODI also sent me about 50 decals to plaster my stuff with. Double BONUS.

It's all in what you are use to, I like a fairly big grip myself.

I've got a set of the Race Face lock-on grips with clamps for the price of a decent 6pk of adult beverages.

I refuse to use anything other than Ruffians on my bikes. The feel imo is unparalleled.
Rogues feel a bit thicker and I'm not crazy about the grip pattern.
The Yetis are good too, but I've seen a lot of them get gummy/sticky/gross esp when it's hot and humid. The stickiness may be a good thing but I don't like it.
If they ever end production of Ruffians, I will die just a little.

I'd like to use them with Gripshift too. Where can I snag a couple of pairs?

Picked up a set of the 90mm grips at CBO for decent price. went w/ the bigger grips, so we'll see how i like 'em.
Good to hear positive local feedback on the Rogues, I just got mine and mounted 'em. The way this winter's hanging on I might have to haul the bike out west for a test ride.
