There was a lunar eclipse last night, it happens about every 18 years.
Saturn was in view too.

18 yrs? You sure bout that. The talkin' heads last night said we will see another one in 2 yrs. Plus, I feel like I've seen it more than twice in the last 18 yrs. I could be confused, just wondering where you got that info.:etard:

18 months sounds more like it. I have been been in an airliner for the previous two, above the clouds, window seat, incredibile view.

Hale bop during a new moon between Seoul and San Fran.
The thing had a tail that took the entire viewable sky. Most awesome thing I've ever seen in the sky.

I got told the wrong info. It's usually 2 a year, but there will only be 1 this year. The next one is in 2010.

I want to know what kind of lens I need to get to take shots like that. Beautiful!
