Hey Riders!
We are working on a video project about snow riding. We want to do some video work on the Lebanon Hills trails this coming Sunday. We want to get interviews to tell the story about riding when most people have put their bikes away. We also want lots of great action shots. We are calling on all riders who might be interested in helping to hit the trails this Sunday. We would be ready to start riding and shooting at 11:00. There's no pressure for everyone to be there at that time---as riders fill the trails, more action will continue with new faces emerging. I am asking that some riders be willing to stop and work with us a bit by doing multiple passes and stop for interviews---short sound bites, not your life story---nothing for which to be afraid.
If you are interested in helping---Email us or just hit the trails this Sunday. When you see us, stop and let us know you want to be a star. Pass the word---the more riders the better! Lets show this sport is just obscure and has a popularity all of it's own.
I'll be on bike and there will be a cameraman---probably on skis.

Thank you all for any help you might offer.

So when will this video be ready for viewing? It looked like you got a fair amount of people on tape today.

Sorry Man,
It was a ghost town ride. The video looks like I'm nearly the only one in the cities that gets a bike out. I need to reschedule when people are riding. We got great interviews from a few people---but barely any action. We want this to look popular. It has seemed that way when I've been out other days. It was as if it was Superbowl Sunday.
I'll post again when we do another shoot.

I tried to round up a group of ladies but most everyone already had plans.

Dan,

I was out of town, but have been told that it was pretty warm, and trail conditions were soggy mashed potatoes the day you were filming. Not good riding. Once it warms up, the trails will be closed. It's going to be spotty between now and spring thaw, so you might need to schedule your filming around times when there will already be a bunch of riders there.

Sorry to sound like a party pooper, but thought you might want to know that the riding season is close to its end.

Thanks for all the info. We have a kite event we're shooting this coming weekend---otherwise we'd be there. We'll keep in mind that few days are left in the season and we'll get out when people say there's riding.
Katie---I'm not judging anyone. I just wanted to know what I missed. In most sports people flock to get their face on camera. I didn't know if the riding community might be shy---or if there was another cross-over event going on---like ALL bikers are also skiers and were at the Birkie. It was an equasion of 2 + _ = 0 What was the _???? that I got nearly no one out there---my breath? My Monkey name or looks? What???
Thanks again everyone---and a group of girl riders would be great!
