It's been discussed ad naseum over on road bike review.

It's for real. Big boxes will stick items on their website to test how well they do before stocking them in the store.

I still cannot fathom dropping 1500 bucks at a Walmart for a bike.

If you haven't heard, Wal-Mart has opened a sort of concept boutique high end store in Texas (i believe) decked out with fixtures and product that appeal to a higher end clientele.

Apparently the store includes a full service bike shop and high end bikes to go with it.

Hopefully this concept falls by the wayside and Wal-Mart sticks with selling the shat bikes that every bike enthusiast cringes at the sight of.

I've known about that for a while but never read anything. I'll have to check out the reviews.

It sounds sort of like the Forge bikes at Target, albeit a lot cheaper...

I'm with Renegade. Does Sam Walton find it necessary to try and drive EVERYONE in EVERY industry out of business?

Sam Walton has been dead these many years. When he was alive customer service was taken seriously by him but not his employee's welfare. Now since his kids took it over there is no such thing as customer service. And the company's seems to think that keeping there employee's at an income that the only place they can afford to shop is at Wall mart. Sorry don't get me started.:mad::mad::crazy:

They also urge the employees to be on welfare.

I couldn't find any reviews of this bike. Anybody have any thoughts?

I would put money on it that Pacific Cycle is behind this. That means it's probably not too bad of a deal. The price of quality carbon manufacturing has come down a lot.

Look at the pricing of Schwinn's Carbon bikes.

Schwinn is also owned by Pacific Cycle.
