Ok, so at my new job one of the designers who does lowpro graphics (Low profile airbrushed vinyl graphics for Harley Davidson, Polaris etc.) wants to pimp my ride (Bike). I am seriously thinking about doing it but wondering if I should.

The graphics would be free the only thing I would need to do is have the existing paint stripped, base coated, and clear coated after the graphics were applied. What do ya's think? Who does stripping & base coating around here? The project would be a joint venture and the guy is awesome, I just hate the fact that I have to strip the Prophet down, I guess I'm a little leary.

Any suggestions?

PS - Sorry for the double thread, I didn't think the first one took.

Why not, you powder coated your frame. How is she holding up btw?

I don't know? The Ellsworth is now residing in Florida.

If you don't want to, I'll donate my bike for the project.

One qualification, the design must incorporate Mudflap Girl:

I'd check the warranty policy about repainting it.
Those prophets seem tough but you never know.

A chance to have a one-off paint job? How could you not? Is the frame out of warranty? If not, go for it. A buddy and I did something similar to his old Fisher about 10 years ago. He did some fancy vinyl graphics, and another buddy and I stripped it and painted it in the booth were we worked. It was awesome. Then got stolen about 10 months later. :embarass: You'll have to keep an eye on your ride if you go through with this. If it's pretty, others will want it.

Yeah, what he said. If he could do up my Monocog like an old rat rod, that would be the cat's a$$!

I pimped my ride. Carbon fiber flames w/ drop shadows. Looks awesome. Hopefully the ink takes to the existing paint job, it has to dry with the pre-mask on overnight. I'll post pics up after I get the clear coat done tomorrow.

Here's the process for those interested, my company does this for Polaris & Harley Davidson.

Rumor has it that some people are real clean.

go for it.
as long as the person stripping the paint is careful it shouldn't hurt the bike, and you'll have a sweet one of a kind bike.
