Would you buy a frame that is a good deal but not the right color?

Yes. The frame can be repainted or, if it's a really good deal, who the hell cares?

I care, I have to look at it every time I ride it.

I did and I still regret it somewhat. Repainting can void a warranty in the blink of an eye.

In that case, perhaps it's not worth it. Every bike is beautiful in it's own way, though...it's a bike!

Color is very important to me. If I could only get a frame in a color that I didn't like, I either wouldn't get it, or I'd plan on re-powdercoating it. I just bought a new Pugsley frame and had it powdercoated exactly what I wanted. Problem solved.

Ain't nothing wrong with an ugly bike. Once its ugly you're free to get ugly parts on closeout for cheap and not feel bad.

I have had some and one of my bikes this year will be ugly, it may not be the color I wanted but it is the exact frame and parts I want so I will be lovin' it!

I say buy it if it is the frame you want and there is no way to get it in the color you want.

Look on the bright side, you'll only have to look at it once or twice. :)

The vanity. Next thing you know you'll be riding in a group of 200 with matching kits and upset cause your ride is the wrong color. :banghead::D

Congrats on the new ride and making it your own.

Turquoise, but I forgive you.

Not good enough of a deal to get me to buy it in the end.

Well some don't follow the sheeple over the cliff and buy Red, black, or brown bikes.
