Freewheel has always treated me well. Behind bars is a good shop as well.

That's a tough call with no info.
What are you looking to buy? Are you into the hardcore underground scene, mainstream, or are you new at this whole two wheel thing?
Any particular brands you interested in. We have a ton of shops in and around the metro, but each of them sort of has their own niche.
Mountain bike, road, freeride, BMX, commuter, or other type of riding helps too.
Throw us some info and you will get plenty of good answers.

They're not on the list Bob pointed to but I think Behind Bars might be a good fit. I've never dealt with them personally but i've heard really good things. In fact, I just got off the phone w/ Chuck to discuss their Kona's...

Prior Lake is not too far from Chaska - check out Get Your Gear, a MORC sponsor. Ask for John or Tim.

Mom and pop shops out towards your neck of the woods might be tough. Closest would most likely be Hollywood Cycles in Bloomington.

What I want to know is when is someone going to open a bike shop in Savage/Prior Lake or heck anywhere in Scott County?..seems like county road 42 and highway 13 would be a good location...which is the intersection of Prior Lake, Savage and Shakopee. It would be only a couple miles from Murphy too.

I like Get Your Gear Outfitters (http://getyourgear.net/index.cfm) in Chaska. Only one location and small shop, but their customer service has been great. Ask for John.

I guess this list is a bit out of date. My apologies -- especially to our current sponsors. We will correct it soon.

If you're already down in Prior Lake I suggest you at least check out Milltown Cycles in Faribault. The proprietor is a strapping young man named Ben Witt. All around good guy and crazy bike fanatic. Excellent service, solid prices.

YA'ALL, Behind Bars in N.E. (http://www.behind-bars.com/press.html) is it. Chuck the owner has been in the biz all his life. Unlike larger chain or foo foo (excuse me) one off suburbian shops, he'll take care of ya with consistancy.

If they are anything like their webiste.....I think I'll pass. :incazzato: There are times when it's better NOT to have a website (http://www.tonkacycleandski.com/) - this is one of those times. What ever happened to their shop right off of 169, just south of 494?
