I am looking for a good and cheap xc wheelset. The rims look good, but not sure about the hubs.http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/WH707A19-Shimano+Deore+Discds-2+Wheelset.aspx

I have a Deore hubset on my mtb and I haven't had any problems.
The hubs ar tough.
I've got Mavic 223 rims and Deore disk hubs. I've nbeen running them since 2005. I'm over 200lbs. and have never trued them.
However, you might want to call before you order and see if they're hand built or machine built. I once bought a set of Rhynolites and XT disk hubs that were not built the best off of the internet. I then had to find a good mechanic to true and tension them correctly. They were no longer such a bargain.

Wow, cheap. I have those rims with some no name cartridge bearing hubs on my ibex. They have been fine for over a year now. They could use a little truing, but for that kind of money I think they are a great wheel.
Thats a typical price I have seen on the net for that hub/rim being machine built. If you are fairly handy at truing/tensioning wheels it is a good buy for a lower end wheel set.
