View Full Version : Kurt Kinetic vs 1UP USA Trainer
I am stuck between the 1Up USA Trainer and the Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. They both are touted to have the most realistic feel to the road and both have good reviews on MTBR and RoadBike. It was cool to find that they make the Kurt Kinetic down the road from me in Jordan, Minnesota. The 1UP USA is made in Wisconsin and they supply free return shipping if you don't like it, they are that sure of their product. I like the 3-second set-up with the 1UP and my bike and the fact there is no fluid to leak, but the Kurt Kinetic is also guaranteed not to leak. Both units appear solid and equal, sooo...has anyone had experience with either? They are pretty much the same price too.http://www.1upusa.com/bike_trainer.html
I have a Kurt and it is really nice. I have had other cheaper ones and they don't compare. I can't speak to the other one, but I don't think you would be unhappy with a Kurt.
Definately google it before buying as there are places that steeply discount it and it ships directly from Kurt.

I have heard good things about both. I use a Kurt and I am happy with it.
We also have a Cycleops Magneto and I also like using it. I think it might be quieter than the Kurt.
I saw there was a Kurt Kinetic for sale for $200 on Craigs List. How can resist that!
I would get this yabba dabba doo model.

Oh ya...Dan, with my legendary balance and coordination. Actually that thing looks more suited for a log roll contest.
