Edmund Hillary died today in New Zealand and the age of 88.

I was just thinking about him the other day. The Discovery Channel had a show about people climbing Everest and I realized how amazing his feat was. He had no ladders, no ropes set up, no Shirpas that had been up there a bunch of times.
His climb was truly amazing.

Yep, he was the man. Impressive to look at his life and how much good he did. Truly a good person.

Besides his sherpa climbing partner who lived on the mountian and until their summit together held the record for highest point reached.

A true bad a$$. He reached the summit of Everest, turned to his sherpa Tenzing and said, "Well, we knocked the Bastard off."
He was a humble and modest person and will be sorely missed by the whole climbing community.
