THUMP!

I have a Raleigh XXIX(29er) that usually runs 29x2.1 tires. My little sis got my a set of Innova 700c x 45c studded tires(the tires also say 28" x 1.75" on them as well). She said that the shop told her these would work for me and I know nothing about them.
The only other tire out there I know about in the Nokian and I am not going to shell out that kind of cash.
Thoughts?
Will the Innovas fit? Will they work with our conditions? Should I just stick with regular tires?

The tires will fit your rims. I've never tried the Innovas, but I've been enjoying the increased level of confidence I get from commuting on my Nokian W106

They will work, but if you spend much time on pavement, the studs wear and get rounded fast because they're not tungesten carbide. They're some sort of high carbon (i.e. hard) steel, but they're not the real thing that studded auto tires use.

Thanks, I will only be using them on trails...if I don't sink in too much with the small tire width.

If the trails are icy enough to require studded tires, you shoulnd't have much problems with sinking. You will just have to pick and choose the right tire for the day you go riding.
Best option for trail riding is still homebrew studded tires, but store bought ones will get you through until you make some.
