Telemark resort in Cable has both cross country ski trails and snowshoe trails. I've never snowshoed there, but it looks like it could be fun.

Telemark is good. Delta Lodge Resort in Delta, or the Black Bear in in Drummond are good bets, too. I go to Mogasheen Resort, out on Lake Namakagon. We've become good friends with the owners over the years. (He's the Namakagon Fire Chief, and we work with him at CFTF and other events) There are countless places to snowshoe up there, but if you are looking for a true "wilderness experience" try the North Country National Scenic Trail in either the Marengo River Primitive Area, or Beaver Lake Wilderness Area. Info available at the USFS office in Hayward, or the Chamber of Commerce in Cable.
'shoe safe,
Hans
