I like XC Skiing, snowboarding, and biking in the winter. Especially biking indoors at the skatepark....:D

This year I want to pack in some good snow jumps. Ever hear of a foam pit? Well, if it snows enough you can have a snow pit!!!

Yeah, you might need something. But, you could strap your skiis & poles on your back, boots in your backpack, and your set. Ya got the clothes on already.

for sure. If you go to a place with a manicured trail, you should be just fine. I wouldn't expect to go skate skiing, but for traditional your set.

Golf courses. Even when conditions are the crappiest, there's rarely anything on a golf course that would damage your skis (for the most part). Well manicured grass is a pretty safe bet.

Lakes are another good, early season, low snow, skiing option. Not enough ice on those yet though.

This is true but....riding a bike on snow isn't nearly as fun as riding one on dirt when its warm. Winter and snow/ski, snowboard, snowmobile, snowshoes....summer and warmth/mtnbike!!!!! It would be like saying in the summertime, "you know, instead of mtnbiking, I'm gonna pull my skis out and ski down a dirt hill." You guys are twisted in the head.:fool::etard:

Where are you going, is it girls only, and can skiis & poles be rented somewhere? You can rent them all over the place. REI does ski rentals, Elm Creek and other 3 rivers parks, Theodore Wirth also does rentals at the par3 building. REI will have them available all year but for the other places you should call ahead of time and make sure they have them ready.

Skier's: I'm guessing XC skiing. Might be down with that - where at?

We're going to need snowshoe work at Leb if we get significant snowfall... just FYI, our group rides turn into night snowshoe stomps until the trail is ready again.

That's cool. Unfortunately, I have no snowshoes. My XC skiing is traditional or Nordic. No skate skis for me. Tougher to break your own trail if you skate ski, or so I understand.
