Best christmas special ever...

It's been forty years since "A Charlie Brown Christmas" debuted on network television, instantly becoming one of the most popular holiday specials of all time. Written by Charles M. Schulz, with Bill Melendez directing and Lee Mendelson as Executive Producer, the show won an Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program, despite initial concerns about the shows leisurely pace, jazz soundtrack, religious theme, and use of children's voices. In December 2005, A Charlie Brown Christmas was named "Best Christmas Special," by TV Guide. It also ranked #1 in ratings across all key adult demographics (adults 18-34, 18-49, 25-54), teens 12-14 and kids 2-11, drawing 13.8 million viewers -- the specials best numbers ever on ABC.
Helping to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of "A Charlie Brown, Christmas" are numerous partners both long term and new:
