If you see someone on the side of the road or trail talking to his/her water bottle, no need to check to see if they've just taken a hard rap on the head.:D

If that product takes off it will be Christmas year round for the trail workers out there. People loose a average of a couple water bottles a year, that would be a lot of cell phones on the trail.
On a positive note, this may be a new incentive for people come out and do trail work! You may just find a free phone or ipod!!!!:D

i'd be worrying about the perspiration from the water bottle destroying my expensive electronics...

Yeah, last time I checked, electricity and water was a bad combination. Is there some way to incorporate gasoline and/or an open flame into this to make it an even dicier proposition?
Also, I love the suggested uses shown in the photos:
PDA, cell phone, iPod...and of course, pocket knife! Because you never know when you might need to, I don't know, whittle something.

1) If I see anyone on a trail riding with one of these I will kick you over. Put it in your seatbag/pak/pocket. :)
2) That Spyderco (http://spyderco.com/)could whittle the crap out of a finger. Just ask my index finger.

Yeah. That seems pretty yuppie/wimpy. Anyone who's anything carries a folding saw in their camelback.

Yup! That one was worth a good laugh! Dang! There should be an Ignoble prize/Darwin award for dummest inventions!
And apparently, it's only for "him".

I haven't lost a water bottle all season, but man, they sure are scarred-up. Don't think I want to do that to the Cell-phone.

Amazingly this may not be the dumbest bike idea ever. For instance anyone remember the pump/bike lock endorsed by Greg Lemond?

The only thing I remember Greg LeMond endorsing was Taco Bell. He was dead to me after that.

I sort of keep my cell phone in my upper Camelbak pocket. It works quite well....:)

Which is worse endorsing Taco Bell or Trek?

Isn't this the reason for bike jerseys? To have pockets to hold a cell phone?

Who needs an Ipod when you could have this:

I'll just say this:
Lance looks a lot better after endorsing Trek than Greg looks after endorsing Taco Bell. And given the choice between eating at Taco Bell or eating a Trek product, well, I'd have to think long and hard.

With Trek and Taco Bell it's what happens after you consume them that's really bad.
Think about this, since Lance and Trek went their separate ways, Trek's line up has gotten much nicer. Since Greg stopped pimping TB they've stayed crappy. Not sure what it signifies....
