Ok so I ditched the clipless pedals (I still have them for when I need them) but picked up a pair of Primo Tenderizer pedals and I love them (thanks Eric)! Perfect for my huge feet. (settle down ladies I'm married :))
Now I need a pair of flat soled shoes that are uber sticky. I own a pair of 661's but they are currently SPD'd and I don't have the cover flap for them anymore, they are also super wide and my foot sloshes around a bit. So I am looking for something that is pretty true to size and a little on the narrow side.
Any suggestions from my Freeride /BMX buddies?

Everyone will tell you to look for a good skate shoe. I've run Circa's for ages- but found the soles get worked in less than a season. Price you pay for good grip and proctection. A lot of skate shoe companies are making BMX specific shoes as well. Right now I'm wearing a pair from Evolv. They're actually rock-climbing approach style shoes. They've got a sweet flat sole with wicked sticky grip (designed for the pre-climb/urban bouldering, so duh- they're tacky). 5.10 also makes a MTB shoe, as well as a bunch of climbing shoes (a lot of cross over tech).
There are lots of answers, I'm sure every nerd on here will shout out about thise shoe or that. I'm just pitching in my .02.

I've ridden the 5.10s for a couple of years now and I think they're great. Ugly but great.

Go barefoot and cowboy up. Scar tissue will ultimately develop and you'll have unparalleled pedal feel.
