I thought I would bring this up because there are a few new people here like me that might not know the rules for riding when there is snow on the ground.

Can thoose that know share the rules for snow riding ?

Like which trails can and cant be used and when.

Salem, Leb, River Bottoms and Theo are all open to snow riding. Check for another thread about Murphy. I think they were going to let us ride, but only if it is frozen and there is no snow. (I'm not sure.) Terrace, BC and Afton don't allow snow riding.

Normal rules apply regarding wet trails. However, the situation is slightly different. In summer, you often have to wait for afternoon so that the sun can get a chance to dry the trail. However, in the winter it is often the opposite. Even when the temp is below freezing, the sun can often warm up the trail in the afternoon, to the point where there are muddy spots in the trail. These times should be avoided.

Anyway, If the ground is frozen, you are good to go.

At leb you must stop before all ski trail crossings. You will see stop signs show up once winter riding starts.

I had the hilarious image of a biker being broadsided by a downhill skier. :D
