I've been going to Mens Yoga at Minnehaha Yoga since this spring when I was having some really bad tendon issues.
The class is 7:15 on Wednesdays at 4141 Minnehaha Avenue South. It's composed of older stiff guys of varying ability and is very laid back.
If you're a stiff guy in the south metro and looking for a good introduction into yoga that's not intimidating check this class out.

BTW I have no financial interest in this class or Minnehaha yoga. It's something that's been great benefit and I thought I would share.

It will help strengthen muscles you need for biking.
There, now it's bike related and can stay in this section.....:)

You men out there should listen to Paul - Yoga is grrrrrrrrrrrreat!
You can also check out the Yoga Center of Minneapolis - they have 2 studios (downtown & SLP) with a wide variety of styles & instructors! Check out Chris Gordon's Anusara class @ the Downtown location - that's the one I attend.

I meant to add that my tendon issues kept me from biking.;)

My left hip has a lot less flexibility than my right and I've had tendinitis [rugby] in it before which has affected cycling to some degree. Plus I want to increase my squat depth so I can eventually pistol squat (http://www.beastskills.com/Pistol.htm)!

I'd add Pilates to the yoga and some Bosu action.

Because I have no financial stake and my only concern is the welthfare of my fellow MORC members, I decided to bump my post from a year and a half ago. This is a great class.

Wow.... careful with squats - you may end up needing knee surgery before the hip. You can ask a guy I know had both knees done twice by early fourties - and the Doc told him of other stories....squat related.

I've always understood that if done correctly (the key part) squats aren't nearly as dangerous and some would have you believe.
As for yoga, i tried it in college but the only part I liked was the relaxation part...

Which tendon(s) are giving you trouble?
I'm having trouble getting over an aching Achilles tendon. I can't walk very far, much less ride.

I would be extremely careful with that. If it's so bad that you can't walk, you may want to see a doctor. At the very least RICE it.
If you mess up your achilles tendon, you're pretty much screwed.
