I have been thinking of getting to Leb a little more to ride.
Is there a way to cross the river, by bike, comming from the Mall of America?
Doesnt 494 have a bike path ?
Cedar ?
55 ?

Oh I am a pro at this. I get off at 2 stops ahead of the mall (bloomington). You just follow the road to the very end (cul-de-sac) and there is a path to get on the bridge. Pilot knob has wide sidewalks on both sides and I prefer staying on the left side (going south) because eventually the right side will disappear when crossing 35E. Watch out for driveways and people not looking for you! It's easy to bomb down some of those hills.
494 has a bike path and just so you know it is 3 miles uphill into Eagan and then mostly uphill to Johnny Cake. But going back is sweet!

That is a cool site. I did not know about that. I make this commute from work downtown to avoid driving to Leb in the summer. Here is how I get there. About the same distance, but you get a little off road on the way. The river bottoms can be muddy in the spring or after rain, but they should be really nice right now.

I like it better than gmap-pedometer because you can add water stops and other markers along your route and you only have to click once (instead of double) to add your next point.
Your route looks like a lot more fun! I'm going to definitely have to try it.

Thanks everyone.
I like that site, might have to use it myself.
I figured there would be alot of up hill, thats just how it goes. I might have to figure out another route to get there. Doing 10 miles then a loop or 2 and then 10 miles back would make for a long ride.
