View Full Version : Attention Ladies!
For any women who have recently registered, you may be unaware there is a very active Women's Forum that you can also subscribe to. It's for women only (sorry gents) and we'd love you to take a look.
Just hit your User CP button, then look down the left hand side under Miscellaneous, find Group Memberships and hit that. Follow the directions to subscribe to the Women's Forum and you're all set.
Our latest topic: Bob (Bigwheel) Roast, ladies we need your input! :p Just joking Bob...really...(Not wise to upset the Light Guru when any of us may need one in a pinch.)

According to MN state law, you cannot discriminate against transgendered individuals (although that may just be in the workplace, not sure if it extends to forums).
Also, to the ladies who may be reading: Paul's comment is an example of why there needed to be a women's only group :p

I like pronouncing "shemale" like tamale - "shuh-mah-lee."

You are so cruel. :nono: The poor guys have to resort to emails and Yahoo groups to share our rankings and critiques of MORC females.

True,
But why am I the focal point e-mail receiver for everybody's negative comments about those five women?
BTW you five know who you are.

Really now, we ARE wondering if it would be okay to have a monthly 'roast' of our favorite men of Morc, complete with photos and declarations of why we love you! Tell me this is okay right?
And who are the five women Dan? Huh?

As long as you don't mind the men sharing their compromising pictures of the ladies.

If he told you, it would no longer be a secret.

Yeah, but we would never need compromising pictures of you all! We wouldn't want to shatter any of that masculinity anyway! All we want is to copy your quotes and certain posts to prove how superior the women really are . I think I will officially be riding very very far in the rear tonight.

No worries, the pictures to "shatter" any sense of my self worth have been out in the world for years.

That's different,..........How?

The womens-only forum is weak sauce. Where's the mens-only forum, the Transgender forum, the NSA forum? Exclusivity is quite lame.

MORC is essentially a men's message forum. As for Transgender, I don't think there would be allot of activity. I may be wrong though.
It's because of people like you and me that they need their own space. Personally I don't have a problem with it.

For the love of all that is deity-related Paul, don't be an apologist for their attempts to divide and conquer. ;)

It's not about divide and conquer, it's about having a space to discuse issues without stupid she-male comments.
The MORC forum easily turns into a locker room. There's not enough females, or transgendered people for that matter, MTBing. Anything that facilitates them I'm all for.

Hey Soup-
If you really want we can update you on what tampons are best, what birth-control methods we prefer, what shorts fit us best, etc. Don't worry boys- we have better things to do than talk about you!

Shad, is that you posing as Paul? Why are you anti-shemale? Very small minded. Don't know how much more "locker room" one can get than tampons and birth control...

1. Heavy flow. Why risk it?
2. Best demonstrated by the collective works of Peter North
3. Stitch a chamois onto a thong and get after it.

I am stunned and speechless that you get this!
And Sean...what would we do without you? There would be so much less to talk about if you weren't around :eyeroll:.

There are approximately one-gajillion websites dedicated towards womyns' issues (Google it, just a little bit - http://www.ivillage.com/). I think it is weak sauce to have a female only forum without a male equivalent. I've never looked, but I wonder if gender discrimination could affect the tax-exempt status of the organization.

Hey I'm tuned into "skirt" issues;)
The way I look at it, we either have to be more careful with our posts or create a safer space. I would rather create a safer space. I like locker room banter
This website is a huge recruiting tool for MORC, maybe its biggest. MORC also needs to attract more women riders, as does most segments in cycling. The bike industry, as demonstrated by interbike girls, can be very biker girl unfriendly and even hostile. If having their own space can help overcome these issues then I'm all for it.

You have the male equivalent on Morc, its called Non-Biking Discussion. I doubt many of those gajillion sites are about mountainbiking for women either, more likely they're about how to attract a guy and make him feel him feel superior and oh-so-fine  .

I can honestly say that the constituents of MORC's "female-only" forum are as "blue" in every way conceivable as the raunchiest of what might be said on the gender-neutral NBD forum. OP included .
Please share your knowledge with your fellow male members. Especially the (large) cast of non-married guys that are truly in need of some social graces...:p

I see "Hey Ladies:" on this post and the last one to post its always Soupboy. Is Soupboy really a boy? Nobody knows but if he is a womam he should change his name to Soup Woman or Cambels Girl or Soup Girl so that when us guys go and look here we can read only the opinions of women and later feel like we know more about women.
We don't need Soupboy clouding up our already confused minds. It's tough enough man. Stop, drop and roll off dude.
