Urban riding!
So I took my family to downtown St Paul a couple of weeks ago via the paved trails along the river from Eagan. I found riding in the cities very entertaining / challenging. My 10 year old and I found ourselves scoping out stairways, drop offs, little architectural jumps and the like.
I now crave this sort of riding, almost as much as I crave trails. It's weird. So does anyone else have urban venues I should check out. Post up the locations of your favorite spots.
Thanks.

Dan, I was bugging you all spring to start urban riding with us while the trails were too wet to ride. Now we are in some of the best time of the year for MTB, and you want to ride on the concrete.
We need to talk.

There are a lot of places. Both downtowns, the U of M, and many other scattered places are great to ride street.
To clarify once again, if you are doing stunts in an urban environment....it's called "street riding". Urban riding is well.......riding in an urban environment on a paved surface. Just so you know....:-). Some people call it "Urban Assault". That is fine, but I prefer "street riding" better. Either that or it's the term I grew up with....:)

The younger generation has to abbreviate everything. We had it as goin' U.A. or Urban Assault.

Of course. I must keep up "Shad" tradition. Otherwise people will miss me around here.....;)
So Dan, when I am done healing (see other threads) I will take you "street riding". Chances are I will ride my BMX bike....my shiny new BMX bike that is.
