Bike maintenance clinic...

The thread about the simple repair at the bike shop got me thinking, has MORC ever done a basic bike maintenance clinic? You know basic adjustments, cleaning, dis-and-reassembly, etc. I think now would be a great time because the riding season is winding down. Maybe you already do this but if you don't i think it could be a really cool experience.

That said, I can't lead it but i'll definitely be a participant!

I believe Freewheel still does maintenance and repair classes. I think their public shop is still open as well. Basically rent a work bench (fully stocked with tools) by the hour and do your own repairs. Works well for those who don't have the tools yet, but are mechanically inclined. And if you go in when it's slow, there's usually a mechanic that's willing to give pointers and advice.

so when is the next partaaay I mean clinc that youll hold, I know how to and do my own but like I said in other thread, I could really use a refresher on truing

You just missed out on the wheelbuilding party at a bike house. The next time I may be able to do one would be over Cranksgiving weekend some time.
