From today's Duluth News Tribune:
"Spirit Mt. officials are seeking ideas from the public to set the recreation area's future."

October 18
Bear Paw Chalet @ Spirit Mt.

This sounds like an excellent opportunity to keep biking in Spirit's recreation mix. Can anyone make it? Our family will be out of town.

I just put it on my Calender, I will most definitely be attending, I'll also spread the word amongst the FR/DH guys, try to get a strong showing at this! Thanks for posting this up! Hopefully some of those guys will see it!

I thought I saw/read somewhere a consultancy group (of mountain bikers) who had done this kind of work in Colorado or Whistler BC. This may be one suggestion that may be thrown to them.
MBA mag has an article about ski resorts and the economic impact of MTBiking. I may look for it and swing by also for that meeting next thursday.

Weekend lift access (or some part-time schedule) would be awesome! I know a bunch of the on-hill maintenance people and they are real nay-sayers to the idea but hey, why not mention it anyway. My agenda will, however, center largely around my snowshredding concerns.

That's wierd cuz last time I was on the mtn working on the trails, I bumped into a bunch of them and they were all about it!

Sweet, then I'll try to hold them to it. Maybe they were just in a bad mood when I mentioned it to them :) Are you going to any of the meetings? I'm starting to run into a lot of work related conflicts but, I still want to make it there for one of them. If we could get even part-time life access, I would totally get a DH bike.
