anyone willing to suffer through some long brutal climbs with me on sunday nov. 4th I will be attempting to ride red wing, winona, and Lacrosse HPT all in one day. My current agenda for the day is as follows
7 am- meet at the driving range in red wing and ride memorial (depending on sunrise times lights might be recomended to start with.)
8:15 am- leave rw and head to winona
9:30 am- regroup @ holzinger lodge and ride.
11:30 am- finish ride and grab some lightish lunch in winona
1:00 pm- regroup at hixon forest in la crosse ride up the TNT trails and ride HPT.
????- head back whenever we're done.
all times are pretty tenative, I put the departure time on there in case anyone wants to meet up with us in after we ride a locale and convoy to the next destination. (7am might be a little early for some)

I also should remind anyone that is coming, the time change is the night before so that will allow an extra hour of sleep

If you throw this together in the early summer I'd be willing to have a go at this.

I would like to throw together a weekend trip including RW, Steeplechase, winona, lacrosse and decorah. That would be assuming that steeplechase still has public riding next year.

Ben,
I may be able to join you for the Winona portion of this odyssey. However, I need to check with my wifey to see what plans she has.

sorry to lose you, I planned it on sunday because the LBS is closed that day, I'm not sure if anyone who works there will be riding, but hopefully it will work out for the best. Either way I will be riding, so I'll have fun anyhow.
Hopefully next summer we can try to get a group together for another trip, that is if I survive this one.

Ben... sent out a notice to RAMBO's email list about the ride. I'll let you know if anyone bites since you don't check your emails all the time if I remember correctly.

great ride, all I can say is OUCH, and for anyone that hasn't ridden La Crosse HPT it is definately worth the trip, those trails are amazing, and that was when I was dead tired just think how much fun they'll be when I hit them at full strength.
Totals-
Driven miles- 260
Riding miles- 22-23ish
Feet climbed- Waaay too many
First post ride beer- 830am
It was all worth it.

It was a good day for riding and I will agree with Ben that the folks in La Crosse should be congratulated on their trail. A great setting and a trail that does an excellent job showcasing that setting.
