View Full Version : MNSCS champ, Brendan or Sam?
So, what do you think? Who will take the MNSCS title, Brendan Moore or Sam Offedahl? They are within 4 points of each other so whoever wins on Saturday takes it. My vote is for Sam, but I always root for the little guy!

The Mid MN Cycling Club and the Central MN Nordic Ski Club worked hard tonight going over the mountains of prizes we are going to be giving out to you.
The raffle alone has over 2 g's of merchanise including a Cannondale CAAD9 Cyclocross frame with Easton Fork! If you buy a commerative skull cap for 20$ you will be entered into the raffle wich supports trail development. Need not be present to win the bike but for other goodies you should be there on Sunday after the CX races.
Single Speeders will leave with perma grins on Saturday with a heafty rock, and sweet certificates from a nice downtown establishment to keep them entertained between the races!
Kids races have been loaded with prizes!!
Sport, Comp, Citizen, and Expert will feel the love as well!!
Top 3 in every class above have great prizes plus a few special ones thrown in!
Please come and support our fundraiser for the trails and have a great time while doing it.
Good luck racers!

Unfortunately it won't really be whoever wins takes it. Right now sam has a 5th place counting towards his overall and brendans lowest counting spot is a third. Both of them could replace those scores with something higher. Basically it would be really hard to figure out all of the possiblities with the 5 bonus points added in as well. On another Note, the sport team standings and the Expert team standings will be decided by this race as well. We have sweet trophies for all the winning teams.

I've enjoyed reading the blogs that most of the top guys have this year and have to say that Sam's really turned it on this year. I'm a bit biased since I used to work with him and his brother back in the day but. I look forward to the recaps.

Fischer as in Chris... I'll put on an o-line jersey and be the pulling guard destroying anyone in my path for Fhris Crischer any day...
I'll do the same for the Red Squirl in the old class... He's more of a wing back back though... Gotta be quick to stay out in front of the squirl...
Team Competition... Nothing like turning the screws on my teammates for the last race of the year... Wait, Fall/ Winter is upon us, now is when the real LCR games begin...

Although Sam supports the races up at Hillside, I'm rootin' for Brendon on this one. I've known him (a little) since he started doing the races around here. Good luck Brendon!

I am selfishly supporting Brendan. This is because if he loses, he will train that much harder next year. This will cause our Wednesday lunch rides to be far too painful for me.

Brendan has paid me good $ to lock Sam in the basement and introvenously feed him liquified crisco for the week, all while listening to polka classics.

It has been fun for our family to watch all the Expert racer this year while cheering on our man in Yellow (Ray). We often tease Ray about beating Sam, especially at Hillside. My kids cal Sam Off-N-Gone (offedahl). Good luck Sam!!

Hmmmm......tough choice. I like both of these guys, so I'm pretty indifferent as to who wins from that perspective.
Doug Swanson Logic (on how to beat Lance):
However, since I got back into bike racing, I have never beat Brendan. I have however, albeit very few times (I think once), beat Sam. If Sam wins the state championship and I have beat Sam in the past, then I basically have won the state championship. So my vote goes to Sam.

Brendan will win if.......Sam will win if...........Brendan will win if........Sam will win if it comes down to tyres. If the course does not allow sb8's to roll, Brendans fav tread, ......Either way both those guys have had fantastic seasons.http://www.maplelag.com/obros.jpg
