ROCKS! ROCKS!! ROCKS!!!

Riding the coattails of the MORC Summit... we want to invite everyone out to trailwork on Sunday, October 7th.
We'll be building a rock garden at marker 63. This should be a fun project and we hope to see you there!!

Fall Trailwork Schedule for Murphy-Hanrehan: 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month.

We will meet on Sunday 10/7 at 10am at the main trailhead (where you would park if you were riding the trail). We'll supply the tools... but please wear long pants, good shoes or boots, and bring gloves, bug spray and water. A powerbar or similar snack might be a good idea too.

If you are under 18 yrs old, bring a parent or guardian along.

Thanks!!

Yay! I liked the rock hunt when I was at trailwork a couple of weeks ago. :)

I'll be there!

Sorry, turns out, I won't be able to make this session after all. I'll try to get one in at Leb or Theo to make up for it. :(

The forecast isn't looking good though... 70% chance of rain.

Still looking questionable due to the weather...

I'll post here by 9:00 if trailwork is cancelled or not.

Still too hard to tell. Some forecasts say rain in the morning, some say it'll wait until later.

I'll post up right before 9am on the status of trailwork.

Thanks Chris, Cam, Mike, and Rodney. We were able to finish a few really cool additions to the trail. I think people will like the new TTFs! Pete took some pics, so I am sure he will post them up! It's been a great crew so far this year. Lots of fun working at Murphy this summer. I had a hard time believing is was October today. Wow did I sweat!

Wow did I sweat!

haha, understatement? I'm not sure there was a inch of dry on you. :)

Good fun out there today, it's always fun making new stuff rather than repairing old stuff. Can't wait to get out there to hit the new rocks!

Thanks again everyone... 5 hours of trailwork in that heat and humidity with no wind... HUGE thanks!

I felt like a zombie hiking out, and I know I wasn't the only one.

It was a small crew but we got some cool stuff completed. I hope we can spend some more time there during the next trailwork session (10/21).

A few pics here (http://www.morcmtb.org/forums/showpost.php?p=244249&postcount=265).

I was so worn out that I took a nap this afternoon. I never take naps. We moved some huge rocks and did a lot of labor in that heat and humidity. It was worth it.

Cam, Mike and Rodney, it was good to meet you. Pete and Ryan, good working with you again.

You guys had a good eye for the new giant rock jump. Not being a big air guy myself, I don't always have the vision on those sorts of things. Good job!

P.S. Sorry I misspelled your name! Chris/Kris is confusing!
