Embarrass/Virginia Trails?

My bike and I will be near Embarrass, MN from Wednesday until Sunday of this coming week. I've never been in the area before and am hoping to find some riding. All trails welcome, but singletrack is greatly preferred.

A guy I met in the Murphy lot had talked up Giants Ridge, but the info I've found searching this site seems disappointing. Avoid?

Seems like Big Aspen, near Virginia, is the place to explore.

I've not ridden it. I checked it out for a future ride last autumn and see it's mostly grassy double track / XC ski trail.

kinda late, or kinda early (depending how you look at it) :etard:, but it might help some one this coming riding season.
Big Aspen would be your best bet in this area.
rolling, hard-packed ski trails. some singletrack if you use your minds
(eye:crazy:).
if more people would ride these trails throughout the year, they would be kicka--!!
i hit them up a couple times a year. spring and fall are the best times to ride here IMHO.
stay off the blk. trails, big bad rocks hidden by the tall grass!! :sick:
