Kurt, I can't believe you keep cluttering up the trail up there with obstacles! :D
I really need to get up there and ride Hartley. All your pictures always look cool.

no.
the hartley outer loop trail is a multi-use, intermediate trail. any taller than this and the walkers/hikers/runners can't get over it. neither can the less-skilled riders...and i've found out that w/ a bypass, the trail gets 6' wide.
and if a bypass shows up, the log will leave....
so, no.
if you want harder stunts/trail features, talk to the people building/maintaining the lester/amity trails.

I hit it today. First time on the outer loop, second at Hartley. It's bigger than what it looks like in the pictures. I had to try it twice because the first time I was going to slow and didn't have enough momentum to get over.
Oh and is something being built at the western part of the loop? Because there were a bunch of boards cut and stacked up there. A bridge, perhaps?

someday, hopefully this year. a bridge and a reroute.

I've ridden many trails that have two distinct single track trails, one over the obsticle and one around the obsticle, Hartly for example, with out the trail being 6' wide.

The log (height) is just perfect. There's higher than this at the trail connecting to the Tunnel/Pines

What happened to the log?
On another note
There is a downed tree (that trail close to the Pine Trees, (with the 2 old log piles) that had been piled today by somebody for it to be hopped. It is more than 6" high, and not good for my front gears even though my bike has > 13" of bb height. The BB is an expensive part of a bike.:nono:
