Anyone familiar with this event? It looks like a 1/2 marathon through the trails of Wirth. http://www.trail-loppet.com/index.htm

I saw that a while back. I was thinking about entering it until I decided to do the Twin Cities 10 Mile on Oct. 6th.

You could do both. the TC 10 miler is what 2 weeks after this run?

So there's an off road foot race through Theo, basicly through the bike trails, and no one besides Brian is fimilar with this event?

Schnitz! I agreed to trailwork at Hillside at the same time. They have a 5k also. That would have been a good time.

Good eye Paul.

Yes, it is a race of mixed ski trail and paths. Very nicely run and fun. Good event supporting the city of lake foundation.

The Trail Loppet Trail Run is part of the City Of Lakes Loppet Foundation's summer activities, like the Tri-Loppet in June. The Backcountry Trail Patrol will be working the Trail Loppet also, as we do all CoLL events.

See you there.

Run safe,

My 38 year old body needs more recovery time than two weeks at this point. I've only been running since last November.

Running for less then a year and already going for 10? that's pretty good.

Man was that fun.

About 10 miles of dirt running and 3 miles of pavement. Saw Hans and said hi. Definitely going to do that one again.

Maybe I'll do that one next year. I heard there were several trees down at Theo. Were they removed....or did you have to climb over them?

That was half the fun. Think Steeplechase. Actually they did an awesome job of clearing trail before the event. It was still a rocky and rooty course.
