My left elbow feels about like that but not quite as swollen! :hit: I believe I got stung around mile 2.

I got it twice in the right ankle, three times in the left. Not as bad as Ray by the looks of it. :crazy2: Good times. Definitely around Mile 2, climbing up after the third drop. At least that's when my legs felt like they were on fire.

On the first lap, Ray was towards the front of a group of about 6 riders. I was towards the rear and I think I was the only one in that group to not get stung. Everyone was yelling and howling about where they just got stung. "AAAWWW! My ankle!", "AAAWWW! My thigh!", "AAAWWW! My calf!", etc. Wow, was I glad to get through there 3 times without being stung. The first two laps I could clearly see the swarm as we all rode through it. The third lap I was alone and there were no bees around.

Nice pic! That is a sweet one... We were talking there about being ~2 minutes down:
Paul: "we need to attack now and close the gap!"
Chris just yelled back: "who's got it then?"
I said: "screw that, not me" - was blown.
Thus, Paul in the background smiling/laughing.

BTW, we didn't have any bee problems. The sport riders must have tired them all out=)
