If you haven't read the thread about the MORC Summit, one of the activities this year is to have a morning ride with the kiddies. Please post up or shoot me a pm if you are interested in attending, and I will register all of us at once on the IMBA website.

I would like to have a head count by the second week in September so we can make arrangements for beverages and treats.

Hope to see you and your little ones October 6th at 8:30 a.m.

We are going to give the ride a gnome theme!!:gnome: I will post up details later so stay tunned!!:D

I may, how hilly and what is the length of the course. I have a 6 year old that likes biking but not hills and not too far. He did the cub's race at the Pre-fat but it was pretty flat and 1.5 miles.

We plan on having the kids do the beginner and single x loop at Lebanon Hills. I am not clear of the distance. There are some hills but nothing to demanding in my opinion. We would love to have you attend!!

My two will be there, ages 7 and 9.

I plan to bring my nephew (5), but I'm not sure about bringing him on the X loop.

I would think that there would be a "beginner loop" ride as well as a big loop ride. There is a big jump in the minimal safe skill level necessary to ride the Dream trail loop.

I'm sure Don would be fine with this. He is excited to get the kids out and let them have a great time! Of course I should probably let him answer that question......sorry Don you know me I just can't help myself.......:embarass:;):D

I'd also like to take this time to thank Don and all the others who are doing the Kid's Ride's around the cities. It's important for us to get kids into mountain biking for our future, but more importantly it is one more healthy, positive activity that will help keep the future of our society looking bright! Great job everyone and thanks for volunteering your time!!! :)

Everyone is welcome to attend!! You and your little one may not receive as much swag as those who registered. I purchased most of the goodies for those who posted up or emailed me. But no matter how many kids show up each little mountain biker will receive something. :D

Don,

My dad will be coming down with a boy from church. The boy will be riding a BMX bike and will probably just be doing the beginner trail. They're looking forward to it!

Damn! Looks like I have to work Saturday morning.
Josh and I will have to miss it.
We hope the weather holds for the ride and the rest of the summit.

My daughter is SO looking forward to riding with others, I am really hoping it stops raining and the sun comes out. Its clearing here out west, and looks like the sun is starting to peak through.

Sorry everyone, the kids ride is officially off!! :incazzato:Dakota County has closed Lebanon Hills until further notice. The earliest you can ride Leb is probably Sunday. :nono:

I plan on making a rain date. What weekends works for everyone? I still have the swag I have purchased and the swag from IMBA for the kiddies, so lets get together and spoil them rotten mountain bike style!!!
