Dose anyone have a Cannondale Lefty fork. I am wondering how well it works, and if there is any chance of it bending at the point were the hub meats the fork, or anywere else.

Love mine, no flex, feels great. That being said I have only had it a couple of months.

I've had mine (on the Prophet) for two full seasons now. I use it primarily for XC racing, because of its light weight-to-travel ratio. I have had ZERO problems with mine. I've sent it off big drops and ridden it high speed through some of the roughest downhill trails around. I LOVE IT! You can't get another 140mm, two-legged, fork that is near the weight AND rigidity. It flexes much less than competing conventional forks. It has great adjustability. Demo one side by side with a conventional fork bike. You WILL notice the superior ride. Don't worry about it bending, if I haven't bent mine yet, I don't know if it's possible other than extreme cases where you've got much more to worry about than a bent bike part. Check out my crash video from the Red Bull Ride The Sky Race. Proof of its durability.
You may hear from a lot of haters on this forum, I used to be one of them. Then I rode one... several times, and bought one. Remember, they don't have one, they're basing their opinions on how it 'looks' to them.
To all the HATERS, he is asking people that already own one! If you don't own one, you're not qualified to have an opinion in here.:nono::p:cool:

Well... Let me just tell you mister! The Lefty is AWESOME! Had mine going on 3 years (Prophet owner as well). Crashed a ton of times and taco'd my front tire coming off a drop and the fork is still performing and holding up to my abuse. Rich and I have crashed a ton of times on ours and they haven't bent at all. You will destroy the rim before the fork. Super light and yes, it looks weird, but you don't even notice it when you are flying down the trail.
To all of the conformist dual stantion riders... :beerme:
Have another beer you'll come around.

Ditto the above posts. The bike is a rock hound with the Lefty - no flex. Mine seems to be slightly harsh but it's had 2 years without an oil change so I'll be fixing that soon.
PS-Mine's on a Prophet too.

wasnt the unbalanceness of the lefty being all the fork on the left and none on the right that threw you in to a tail spin resulting in the mega crash. hahaha

There seems to be quite a correlation between lefty forks and multiple crashes on this thread. Hmmmm.
Just joking, I have no opinion, never ridden one.

Ryan,
From a sales opinion....the lefty rocks. I've sold many a bike with the lefty on it, and I never saw one come in for warranty (answering your bending question.)
From a riders point of view....it's the most responsive fork I've ridden to date (check my bio for a sweet lefty pic.) I've put my fork through it's paces, and it has been a champ. You would sleep well at night if you owned a lefty.

If they ever came out with a Righty, I'd get one. ;)
