Hello all...I'm planning on going out to Afton within a couple weeks here and I've never riden at a place like that before. Is there any "trail rules" I should be aware of there? Anyhting I should try to stay away from?

I just kinda want to get an idea of what to expect out there for a noob such as myself so I don't look like a complete idiot when I go and I don't want to make anyone mad for getting in the way or something.

Make sure you pay the riding fee at the upper chalet and you should be ready to go. Just follow the trail. The trail is very hard. There is no trail around with this amount of climbing and some of the downhills are a little technical. If you are a noob, you may want to start out somewhere else!

Steve, get in touch with me and I'll show you around Afton. Be ready for some climbing and some technical riding. The trails are in great shape and should stay that way till the snow flies.

How late is afton open. I am thinking of going after work tomorrow probably around 6.

You should be able to get a lap or two in. The trails close at sunset.
